...He's SIX months!!

And quite the little MAN!!
I can not believe how fast these last 6 months have gone by!!

Preston is sitting up like a semi-pro, IF he wants, he can sit for a good 10-15 minutes straight, before conking down on his head. He really enjoys sitting on the carpeted areas of our house & playing with Aubree. Any toy, phone, remote, piece of clothes goes instantly into his mouth - just like any 6 month old, I'm sure. Last week Aubree & I sat down and went through every one of her toys, putting the small ones (the kind that can be swallowed by a baby), in a box that Preston can't get to... because before I know it, he'll be crawling. He's gotten VERY attached to me, which makes it kind of hard, I think he's figured out the system & CAN cry for as long as it takes, to get to me! Lately he's been reaching for me, when sitting in his walker... I have to say, it melts my heart! I really, really love Preston & just enjoy his company so much - The best times in my day is when I am laying on the floor, playing with Aubree & Preston!

He's been taking to solids a little slower than I would like... I homemade him about 2 months of food, that's sitting in the freezer right now - so I hope he gets into the swing of things soon. By the way, making your own baby food is SO much cheaper & better than the jar food! I don't know why I didn't do this with Aubree. For about $10 of organic fruits & veggies, I can literally make 80 ounces of baby food! So... yes, my freezer is packed!

I feel like Preston has brought so much joy into our family! Aubree LOVES him... Like LOVES him like crazy! It''s so cute! She is always calling him "my baby" & sometimes tells me that SHE'S his Mom... that girl cracks me up! Anyway... All I keep thinking of right now is the Gator Football season, how random is that? I want football season to start... NOW! That's it! Hope everyone is well! :)

....And my little SIX month old! :)

We're Back Home!

As incredibly wonderful as it was to visit friends & family in both South Florida & in Southern California over our 2-month away period... Nothing & I mean NOTHING is quite as wonderful as being "HOME". I've always known myself to be a "home-body" & especially with having TWO young children, home is the easiest place to be! And I LOVE our home!

We've settled back in, so easily - Aubree & Preston are so happy to be back home! Aubree kind of forgot how awesome her room & all her toys are! We've been so busy, re-discovering all her old toys, we've almost been playing ALL day, everyday! Which is nice, I think today is the first day, since we've been home that we have actually watched a little TV, and that was Sesame Street. It is so nice NOT to live with the TV & just enjoy each other's company.

As soon as we got back, I started a solid-food feeding schedule with Preston. He's been eating solids 3 times a day. He's been introduced to organic Sweet Potatoes, organic Carrots, organic Peas, organic Squash, organic Bananas, organic Pears & organic Apples. Anyway... the ONLY thing he really likes is the Squash. So... today we're going to buy some organic Acorn & Butternut Squash; I'm going to start making his food. I'll start with just a little baked squash, pureed & then start adding apples to the squash, sweet potatoes, etc. as he gets used to it, I think he'll enjoy this new food. He seems to prefer nursing above all else - so I need to start weaning him, when it comes to how often I nurse him.

I also got out the camera for the first time since I've been home... We've been eating our breakfast together & listening to music... It's been so nice! :) Here are some pictures from this morning:

Ladera Ranch Water Park (can you tell I'm playing catch-up?)

A few times during our CA trip, we visited this awesome water park - which quite honestly could be a major motivation factor to me wanting to move back to Southern CA. This water park was so fun, it's the place to  be when the weather is gorgeous!
We went once as a "play date" with some kids, and a second time with our family friends, the Chmura's - that time was nice, we brought lunch & beers, it was soooooo relaxing, I would have thought I was in Vegas, but looking around, it's clear to see that 90% of the people in the water were under 7! ;)

4th of July....

...Was spent with friends & at several different places/parties - it was fun & maybe since I decided to supplement Preston with formula, so that I could drink some beer, my pictures were limited (I was having too much fun!), Anyway - Aubree looked very patriotic & Preston looked very handsome! :) The little man playing in the pool is Carson... Aubree's SoCal buddy! :)

Del Mar Fair

As with any trip, we didn't do as many things as we would have liked to... However, we did battle it out with the "Carnies" & attended the Del Mar Fair in San Diego County. It was pretty fun, Garrick & I felt like we literally watched our little Aubree grow up there! She surprised all of us with her adventures spirit & just became very independent when it came to her going on the rides... ALONE. We also indulged on your typical fried fair food - gaining about 10 pounds each

Happy 30th Anniversary Mom & Dad!

While in California I had the privilege to watch my parents renew their vows & have their marriage blessed in the Catholic Church - on their 30th Anniversary! Annie, Aubree, Preston & me felt very honored to be there - well, maybe that's pushing it! Annie & I felt very honored to be there - Thank you & Congrats! :)
(I snapped this one from outside, through the window because Mr. Preston started screaming
I can't believe I caught that kiss!)
